2 Injured and Severe Damage Reported in Route 230 Dauphin County Accident

Just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 a serious 2 car accident occurred on Route 230, just east of Swatara Creek Road, in Londonderry Township, Dauphin County.

State police responded to the accident and say that a Saturn station wagon driven eastbound by 43 year old Eva Spearman of Middletown travelled into the westbound lane and struck the left side of Scott Arnold’s Ford Bronco.  Scott Arnold, age 47, is also from Middletown.

At this point in the investigation, state police believe that the accident was caused by Ms. Spearman’s diabetic condition.

Both Ms. Spearman and Mr. Arnold were taken to Hershey Medical Center with injuries.  Their condition has not yet been released.  Additionally, both vehicles suffered severe damage in the crash.
