2 Killed in Roosevelt Boulevard Accident

On Sunday night March 21, 2010 two young adults from the Castor neighborhood of Philadelphia were killed in a car accident.  The two victims were riding together in a Toyota Camry that ran into a flatbed tow truck on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia at approximately 8:45 p.m. Sunday night.  The car went under the tow bed of the truck, trapping its two occupants until rescue crews could remove them from the vehicle.  The driver and occupant of the car were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The victims have been identified as Witchy Louis, age 21, of Souder Street and Shahariar Ahmed Rabbi, age 20, of Kindred Street.  Mr. Louis was driving the Camry at the time of the accident.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
