3 People are Hurt in Suspected DUI Accident

On April 20, 2010 3 people were hurt in a three vehicle accident on Route 443 in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.  The accident happened when Kevin Rhode was driving his pickup truck westbound on Route 443 and hit an eastbound car driven by Keith Miller.

Mr. Miller had two passengers in his car, a 45 year old woman Theresa Miller and a 15 year old girl from Nesquehoning whose name has not yet been released.  Ms. Miller and the 15 year old girl were flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.  Ms. Miller was in critical condition and the condition of the girl has not yet been released.  Mr. Miller suffered lesser injuries.

The force of the impact when Mr. Rhode’s truck hit Mr. Miller’s vehicle caused Mr. Miller’s car to strike a pickup truck that was stopped at the Market Street stop sign.  Mr. Rhode and the driver of the third vehicle were not seriously injured in the crash.

Mr. Rhode was taken into custody for drug testing after the accident.
