5 Injured in Palmer Township Saturday

On Saturday night, 5 people were injured in a serious crash on South 25th Street in Palmer Township.  The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. when 19 year old Jesse Steirer of Bethlehem Township was trying to make a left into a gas station and crashed into a car driven by 17 year old Jaime Pasquini of Forks Township.

State police report that the collision was “near head-on” and that there was significant damage to the Jeep Cherokee driven by Steirer and the Volkswagen Jetta driven by Pasquini. 

There were 5 people in Pasquini’s car at the time of the accident.  Their names have not yet been released but state police report 2 of them suffered significant injuries and 3 of them suffered minor injuries.  All 5 accident victims were taken to the hospital.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation and police report that there were witnesses to the crash.
