Car Truck Crash in Cumberland County

Yesterday, around 1:30 a.m. a Lehigh County man was hurt when his car collided with a tractor trailer on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Cumberland County.  The accident occurred in Silver Spring Township.

According to police, 41 year old Rodney Youwakim was driving slowly in the right lane and a trucker named Theodore Rees  of Columbus, Ohio was travelling behind him.  Mr. Rees moved to the left lane to pass Mr. Youwakim but as he was passing Mr. Youwakim pulled into the path of the truck.

Mr. Youwakim was able to get out of his car before it was engulfed in flames.  He was flown to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center for treatment of his injuries from this Pennsylvania truck crash.
