Did You See an Accident in New Cumberland on October 12?

If you saw an accident in New Cumberland on Tuesday October 12 then the police want to talk to you. The crash occurred at 4th and Bridge Streets.  Police report that a driver rear ended a motorcycle as the vehicles were slowing down for a red light.  The motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle and pinned underneath another car. He was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.

Police say that the driver of the vehicle that hit the motorcyclist fell and hit his head upon exiting his vehicle.  It is unclear whether he sustained any injuries in the crash.

Allentown Bicycle Motorcycle Crash Leaves 13 Year Old Injured

On August 30, a 13 year old girl who was riding her bike in Allentown was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash.  Reports indicate that the motorcycle rider and bicycle rider collided at Lehigh and Eighth Streets around 8 p.m.  The motorcyclist allegedly fled the scene of the accident but was found about 20 minutes later.

The motorcyclist is facing charges for a hit and run accident involving injuries and may be facing other charges in relation to this Pennsylvania bike accident.

The 13 year old was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest with injuries.

A 26 year old motorcyclist was in critical condition following a Mechanicsburg crash on Saturday July 23, 2011.  The accident occurred shortly after 12:30 p.m. on the 400 block of N. Walnut Street.  According to accident reports, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on N. Walnut when an SUV attempted to make a left turn on to N. Walnut from Brandy Lane and collided with the motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was flown to Hershey Medical Center with critical injuries.  His identity and the cause of this Cumberland County crash have not yet been released.

Earlier this month, three motorcycle riders were hurt in an accident on Montsera Road in Dickinson Township.  According to the Pennsylvania State Police in Carlisle, James Tracey III and his passenger Nicole Bowman lost control coming around a curve.  They were injured and taken to Carlisle Regional Medical Center.  A second motorcyclist was hurt trying to avoid a crash with Tracey and Bowman.

Police have indicated that Bowman will be cited for this Pennsylvania motorcycle accident.

Motorcyclist Suffers Head Injury in Pocono Township

A 33 year old Blakeslee woman suffered head injuries after being thrown from her motorcycle on Wednesday May 11, 2011.  According to accident reports, the woman was traveling westbound on I-80 when a dump truck in front of her slowed down causing the woman to brake suddenly.  As the motorcyclist braked, a car hit her from behind and the motorcyclist fell from her bike.

The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest for treatment.  We extend our best wishes to this woman for a complete and quick recovery following this Pennsylvania car accident.

3 Vehicle Accident in Newtown Township Injures 2

Last Wednesday, August 4, 2010 there was a three vehicle crash on the Newtown Bypass in Newtown Township.  The accident occurred just before 9 a.m.  Newtown Township Police report that a 25 year old man from Philadelphia crashed a motorcycle into the rear of a car that had stopped for traffic.  A second motorcyclist, also from Philadelphia, then laid down his motorcycle in an effort to avoid the first accident.  Both motorcyclists were injured and taken to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment.  The driver of the car was not injured.

The names of those involved in the accident have not yet been released.  The cause of this Delaware County accident is under investigation.

Aunt Annie Hurt in Lancaster County Motorcycle Accident

The founder of Aunt Annie pretzels was hurt in a Lancaster County motorcycle accident over the weekend.  Relatives of Anne Beiler report that she was in a one vehicle accident in Gap, Pennsylvania at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday night. 

Reports indicate that Ms. Beiler hit a patch of oil on the road causing her motorcycle to fall over.  She allegedly suffered a concussion, a broken collarbone and a broken rib from her Lancaster County motorcycle accident and was released from the hospital on Tuesday morning.

Philadelphia Motorcycle Pedestrian Accident Injures Three

Yesterday, 3 people were hurt in a Penn’s Landing, Philadelphia motorcycle crash.  The accident occurred on South Columbus Boulevard just before 1:30 a.m.  A motorcycle heading north on South Columbus Boulevard hit a pedestrian who was crossing the street. 

The pedestrian and the motorcycle driver were taken to Jefferson University Hospital where they were both reported to be in serious condition yesterday afternoon.  The motorcycle passenger was taken to Hahnemann Hospital and was reported to be in stable condition yesterday afternoon.  The identities of the accident victim have not yet been released.

The cause of this Philadelphia motorcycle pedestrian accident remains under investigation.

Motorcyclist Critical After Philadelphia Crash

On Tuesday June 22, 2010 a serious crash caused critical injuries to a man in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia.  The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Whitaker Avenue.

The police have said that a motorcycle and a car collided in the 4200 block of Whitaker Avenue.  The motorcyclist is a 26 year old man who was taken to Temple University Hospital and is listed in critical condition.  The police have not yet released his identity and there is no report that the driver of the other vehicle was seriously injured.

The police are still investigating the cause of this serious Philadelphia crash.

Tioga County Motorcyclist Rear Ended at Red Light

19 year old Kenneth Stirling of Middleton was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle this past Saturday on Harrisburg Pike.  Mr. Stirling was stopped at a red light on Harrisburg Pike when he was struck from behind by a Buick station wagon driven by 33 year old Colleen Wheeler of Carlisle.

Mr. Stirling was thrown from his motorcycle and taken to Carlisle hospital with injuries.  There are no reports that Ms. Wheeler was hurt in the accident.  The extent of Mr. Stirling’s injuries is unclear.  The cause of this Tioga County accident has not yet been released.
