Bucks County Crash Injures Woman and Child

A Milford Township accident injured a woman and child on September 22.  Reports indicate that a man was driving south on Portzer Road.  When he got to the intersection of Old Bethlehem Pike he allegedly stopped for the stop sign and then proceeded into the intersection as another vehicle was entering the intersection from Old Bethlehem Pike.

The cars collided and a 32 year old woman and her 4 year old passenger were taken to St Luke’s Hospital Fountain Hill with injuries from this Pennsylvania car accident.

Bensalem Pedestrian Crash Results in Serious Injuries

Last week, a 25 year old pedestrian was seriously injured on Park Avenue in Bensalem.  The woman, whose name has not yet been released, was crossing Park Avenue between Route 13 and Hulmeville  Road in front of the Franklin Commons Apartments when she was hit by a Toyota Corolla.

The victim was taken to Aria Health’s Torresdale Campus in Philadelphia for treatment.

The driver stopped and cooperated with police who have told the media that they do not believe alcohol to be a factor in the accident.  The cause of this Bensalem pedestrian accident remains under investigation.

Buckingham SUV Accident Injures New Hope Couple

Last Thursday a woman was thrown out of the window of her SUV when another SUV hit the SUV she was riding in.  The accident occurred at the intersection of New Hope and Durham Roads in Buckingham.  Police report that the driver of the second SUV, James Vergis, failed to yield the right of way to the first SUV.

This Pennsylvania car accident victim has been identified as Shirley Servis of New Hope. Ms. Servis was taken to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown for treatment of a head injury after the crash.  Her husband, William Servis, was driving the SUV when it was hit.  He was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.

2 Killed in Unrelated Bucks County Accidents

Lower Bucks County was the scene of two unrelated fatal accidents on Saturday.  

 The first accident happened on New Falls Road around 1:30 a.m. when a pedestrian was allegedly struck by a vehicle and killed.  It has been reported that the pedestrian was crossing New Falls Road near Oxford Valley Road when she was hit by a 2000 Ford Focus.  The woman’s identity has not yet been released.

The second accident happened on West Lincoln Highway around 12:30 p.m. when a motorcycle and a car crashed.  Police report that 22 year old Kenneth Anderson Jr. was riding his motorcycle eastbound on West Lincoln Highway when a car driven by 78 year old John Moore was turning left from the westbound lanes.  Mr. Anderson hit Mr. Moore’s car and was killed.

Pedestrian Critically Injured on Street Road

On Monday night, a man was hit by a car on Street Road in Bensalem.  The man, whose name has not yet been released, was hit at approximately 5:15 p.m. while crossing Street Road near Salad Works between Knights and Hulmeville Roads.

It is reported that the man was hit by a Honda travelling westbound on Street Road and that he was carried on top of the car before being thrown from the vehicle.  He was taken to Aria Health’s Torresdale Campus and was reported to be in critical but stable condition.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in this Pennsylvania pedestrian accident.

2 Children Hit by Car in Warminster

Shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon August 30, two children were hit by a car on York Road in Warminster, Pennsylvania.   The accident happened in the northbound lanes of York Road near Prospect Avenue.

The children, whose identities have not yet been released, were taken to Abington Memorial Hospital for treatment.  One of the children was later taken from Abington Memorial to Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia for further treatment.

The driver stopped and cooperated with the police investigation of this Pennsylvania pedestrian accident.

3 Young Men Injured in Bucks County Accident

A Plumstead accident early last Friday morning sent three young men to area hospitals.    The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Old Easton Road.  The driver of the car, 20 year old Jerami Weideman and one of his passengers, 20 year old Eric Yarnella were taken to Doylestown Hospital.  Their condition is not currently known.  Another passenger, 18 year old Dillon Rively was flown to Temple University Hospital.

It is reported that the car hit a ditch as it was travelling northbound on Old Easton Road and flipped over.  The car continued for about 50 yards before stopping.  One of the young men was ejected from the car during this serious Bucks County car crash.

2 Bucks County Motorcycle Accidents Result in Injuries on Wednesday

Two motorcycle accidents occurred in the Greater Philadelphia area on Wednesday.  The first accident occurred in Hilltown when 45 year old motorcyclist Stephen Lee from Holland collided with a car at the intersection of Hilltown Pike and Diamond Street.  According to police, the accident occurred when a Honda Civic driven by 76 year old Roseann Hoffman of Lansdale was making a left turn onto Diamond Street and struck Mr. Lee’s motorcycle. Mr. Lee was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital to treat a possible broken shoulder. 

The second accident occurred Wednesday afternoon when a motorcycle driven by 23 year old Jacob Hartman crashed with an SUV in West Rockhill at Route 152 and State Road.  According to police, this accident happened when Mr. Hartman was attempting to make a left turn onto Route 152 from State Road and collided with a car traveling west across Route 152 from Highland Park Road.  That car was driven by 70 year old John Lacava of Gilbertsville.  Hartman is in fair condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

12 Year Old Boy in Critical Condition After Being Hit by a Car

A 12 year old boy who was out riding his scooter in Bensalem Sunday evening is fighting for his life at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  The boy suffered serious head injuries when he was hit by a car while riding his scooter on Park Avenue, near Hulmeville Road.

The boy was originally taken to Aria Heath Torresdale Campus but had to be transferred to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia because of the severity of his injuries.  His name, and the name of the driver who hit him, have not yet been released.  The accident remains under investigation.

It was the second accident of the day on Park Avenue, and this child was the second child in a week to be hit by a vehicle in Bucks County.
