Carlisle Elementary School Bus Crashes and 3 People are Injured

Around 4 p.m. this afternoon, a North Dickinson Elementary School bus was taking students home when it collided with a minivan.  This Pennsylvania school bus accident occurred at the intersection of N. Dickinson School Road and SR 174.  The police report indicates that the bus pulled out from the stop sign on N. Dickinson School Road and hit the minivan that was traveling on SR 174.  It has been reported that the school bus driver was cited for this accident.

Three people were taken to Carlisle Regional Medical Center with injuries.  The injured include one student who was travelling on the school bus and the driver and passenger in the minivan.

Carlisle Woman in Critical Condition After Pedestrian Accident

On Saturday afternoon June 11, 2010 Deborah L. Brown of Carlisle was hit by a car.  Ms. Brown was in a crosswalk on South Hanover Street when she was hit by a four door sedan style vehicle.  It is unclear whether the driver of that vehicle stayed at the accident scene or whether this accident was a hit and run.

Ms. Brown was flown to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center with critical injuries, according to the police.

The cause of this Pennsylvania pedestrian accident remains under investigation.
