Brown of Carlisle was hit by a car. Ms. Brown was in a crosswalk on South Hanover Street when she was hit by a four door sedan style vehicle. It is unclear whether the driver of that vehicle stayed at the accident scene or whether this accident was a hit and run.

Ms. Brown was flown to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center with critical injuries, according to the police.

The cause of this Pennsylvania pedestrian accident remains under investigation.
