One Student Injures Another in Pennsylvania Pedestrian Crash

On Friday December 2, 2011 a 15 year old who attends Owen J. Roberts High School was hit by a vehicle that was driven by another student at the school.

According to Pennsylvania State Police from the Embreeville barracks, the girl was trying to cross Route 23 in front of the school shortly before 2:30 p.m. when she was hit. The police have reported that the girl sustained major injuries. Her name and the name of the 17 year old driver have not been released to the media.

The investigation of this Pennsylvania pedestrian crash is ongoing.

An October 25 Perkiomen Township car accident caused two people to go to area hospitals. The crash occurred at Gravel Pike and Ott Road.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, one driver was trying to turn left onto Ott Road and collided with a car traveling on Ott Road. Both people in the car traveling south on Ott Road were taken to the hospital for evaluations following this Montgomery County car accident. We wish them both a full and speedy recovery.

12 year old Jacob Capobianco and his family have had a difficult couple of weeks.   About three weeks ago Jacob Capobianco suffered a minor leg injury when he was hit by a car while riding his bike on Fourth Street in Bridgeport. 

Then on June 22, Jacob was again hit by a car while riding his bike on Fourth Street.  This time, Jacob wasn’t as lucky.  The driver of the car stopped and drove Jacob the block to the Bridgeport Police Station where police tended to Jacob and arranged for an airlift to Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia.

We extend our best wishes to Jacob for a full and fast recovery from his Pennsylvania bike accident injuries.

Two Car Montgomery County Crash Injures Five

A two car collision injured five people on the Northeast Extension of the Turnpike in Montgomery County on June 12.  Police report that a car driven by Hasson Keene experienced a blown rear tire and hit the median barrier and then an SUV.  The SUV was pushed into the guardrail and flipped over.

Hasson Keene and his passenger Jennifer M. White-Keene, were both taken to Hahnemann Hospital with injuries.  The driver of the SUV, a 17 year old whose name has not yet been released was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as was one of his passengers.  Another one of the SUV passengers suffered a more significant injury and was taken to Abington Hospital.

A one car crash seriously injured the driver, Tiger Allen, and his passenger, Rock Allen, on Tuesday June 7, 2011.  The driver and his passenger are 29 year old twins from Philadelphia.  Both men are boxers.

The crash occurred when their Ford Explorer hit a tree on Bethlehem Pike in Montgomery Township.  Both men were airlifted to area hospitals with critical injuries.

It is unknown what caused the Explorer to crash into the tree. The accident is currently under investigation.  We extend our best wishes to the Allen brothers for a quick and complete recovery from their Montgomery County accident injuries.

Last week a woman was seriously injured on Forty Foot Road in Towamencin Township.  The woman was hit by a blue green vehicle that was heading south on Forty Foot Road shortly after 6 a.m. on March 23.  The woman was critically injured and was taken to Abington Hospital Trauma Center.

3 Vehicle Collision Seriously Injures 3 on Monday

On Monday afternoon, a 3 car crash injured 3 people in Lower Salford.  The accident happened on Harleysville Pike around 2 p.m.

Police report that a BMW SUV, a Honda Accord and a sewage disposal fuel truck were involved in the accident.  The driver and an infant child in the BMW were injured and were flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown for treatment.  The driver of the Honda was also injured and was flown to Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia for treatment.  The driver of the truck was uninjured.

The cause of this serious Pennsylvania crash remains under investigation.

Five Hurt in Montgomery County Accident Sunday

A two car crash on Route 113 in Franconia sent five people to the hospital on Sunday.  The crash happened around 3:45 near the Franconia Elementary School.  According to the police, a red Corvette was travelling southbound on Route 113 when it collided with a Toyota Corolla that was travelling northbound.

All five of the injured people were taken to the hospital.  The two people who were in the Corvette were airlifted to the hospital. They were taken to Hahnemann Hospital and Abington Memorial Hospital. Three members of a family that was travelling in the Corolla were taken by ambulance to Grand View Hospital.  The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

The police are continuing to investigate the cause of this Pennsylvania car crash.

2 Kids Hurt in Montgomery County Hit and Run

On Wednesday night, June 23, 2010 a hit and run driver injured two children in Norristown, Pennsylvania.  The accident happened near the intersection of James Street and Hamilton Street.  Norristown police believe that the driver was operating a black SUV.

The children, whose names and hometowns have not yet been released, were seriously hurt and had to be flown to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for treatment.  The children are believed to be four years old and 17 months old and were crossing the street with an adult at the time of the accident.

Anyone with information about this Montgomery County pedestrian accident should call the Norristown police.

17 Year Old Plymouth Whitemarsh Student Killed in an Alleged Hit and Run Accident

Last Sunday night, 17 year old Denise Cotteta was hit by a car and killed. The accident happened at approximately 11:30 p.m on March 28, 2010. Denise was crossing the street at Germantown Pike and Mayflower Road in Whitemarsh Township in Montgomery County. 

Denise’s friend alleges that a car hit Denise and then took off in a hit and run.  Police were able to stop the driver of the car shortly after the accident and question the driver.  The driver is currently free pending any charges which may be filed in this case.  The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is involved in the investigation.

Denise Cotteta lived in Plymouth Township and was a senior at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.
