A young pregnant mother was killed last week as she attempted to cross Roosevelt Boulevard near Lexington Avenue in Philadelphia. Reports of the incident indicate that 28 year old Giselle Moya was hit by motorcyclist. She was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where she and her unborn child died.

According to reports of the accident, Giselle was crossing in or near a marked crosswalk. There are concerns about the location and safety of the crosswalk. Locals reportedly call this area “Dead Man’s Trail” because of how many accidents occur here. A traffic light is expected to be installed this summer.

Giselle is survived by her parents and her five year old son. We extend our sincere sympathies to them and to the rest of her family and friends following this tragic Philadelphia pedestrian accident.
