Head on Collision in Derry Causes Serious Injuries

A head on collision caused major injuries in Derry Township over the weekend.  The crash involved a Fort F – 150 truck and a Chrysler 300 car. The two vehicles hit each on Saturday night March 20, 2010 on Strawcutter Road in Derry Township, Westmoreland County, PA.

Two accident victims suffered serious injuries and had to be flown to the hospital.  Authorities report that at least one victim was trapped inside a vehicle and had to be rescued.

The names of the accident victims have not yet been released and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.  The State Police in Greensburg are handling the accident investigation.
