On Monday afternoon, a man allegedly fell asleep at the wheel on Wertzville Road in Hampden Township. His truck crashed into the home of 84 year old Anna Messinger. Ms. Messinger was home at the time of the accident but was not injured. However, her home was pushed off of its foundation and is currently uninhabitable.
The truck driver, whose identity has not been released, is reported to have suffered a head injury in the accident and was taken to Pinnacle Health Harrisburg Hospital after this Cumberland County crash.
